Saturday morning is a perfect time for doing nothing. Lounging in bed, reading the news, drinking coffee (well, not me any more, but I can dream, can't I?)...these are the small things that define our lives. When we think about our lives, we tend to view the big things...a wedding, a funeral, a birth, a vacation. Yet, it's the way we live from one moment to the next that places an indelible stamp upon our souls. It's waking up to frost on the kudzu, hearing a new baby laugh for the first time, having the privilege to see one precious moment when a young lady becomes a woman, or watch a young toddler become a boy. Or eating a piece of toast and feeling the pleasurable "crunch" as we take that first bite. Or using insect repellent to ward off mosquitos. Or painting our toenails bright blue just because it is audacious. These moments are our lives. They make us who we are. Life is precious. All life. As I look out my window this morning, and I see the dreary, overcast day, it is one more day I am blessed to be on Planet Earth. I am grateful for my life. Have a great Saturday! God bless!
