Today I had the privilege of sponsoring a ladies tea for Crossroads Ministries. For those of you who may not be familiar with Crossroads, it is a wonderful ministry for single mothers who have nowhere to go. The founder, Cora Rhew, purchased a now defunct hotel on Elza Gate Road in Oak Ridge. Her vision is to refurbish that hotel into apartments for single mothers without a home. The hotel needs a ton of work. In fact, it needs a new roof right now! I am going into a little detail about this because if you feel led to give, you can visit the website at www.crossroadstransition.org . Hallerin Hill was the keynote speaker, and he was so motivational that I now feel the need to exercise, cook, run a marathon, and hug my grandbabies all at the same time! Thank you, Bridget Peterson, for getting me hooked up with these folks!
