I am on vacation this week. My sister and I went to Myrtle Beach, and it has been absolutely wonderful! We saw a guy catch a shark, ate dinner on the pier, went on a plantation tour, visited a wax museum, and vegged out on the beach. When we are on vacation, we do things....things we normally wouldn't do...for example, this morning , while riding the elevator down to the first floor, I may or may not have been singing "Magic Carpet Ride" and head banging like a boss. My sis may or may not have been singing with me in perfect harmony. And the elevator door may or may not have opened to reveal an elderly man who may or may not have looked at us like we had lost our minds. He may or may not have been a Steppenwolf fan...And upon seeing said man, I may or may not have figured I was already committed to the song and kept on singing, and adding a more definitive head bob for good measure. Yes, I may or may not have done this...
We leave tomorrow, headed back to our respective lives. This week has been great...so great, in fact, that I wish we weren't leaving. I'm trying to figure out a way to become a professional beach bum...but since neither of us are independently wealthy, the life of the Big Kahuna eludes us. So, goodbye, Myrtle Beach...hello, Knoxville. Tomorrow. For now, it's sand, surf and sun...God bless!
